While the "hands looking out into space" idea is definitely a part of our daily routine There's no doubt the trust of Rotary has been growing and more people are forming contact with each other. Rotary has certainly changed. As we flow through the summer of 2021, there remains a continuing level of uncertainty regarding how our work with society will include the much-valued human connection experienced by Rotary members in previous times. Although the mantra of hands face space' will undoubtedly remain a part of our daily program, it's clear that the confidence building is evident and more face-to-face connections occur. Rotary, however, has developed. Man volunteers clean up trash. Volunteering through the network of Rotary makes lasting connections outbreak of the pandemic opened our eyes to the technology of our Rotary world. In addition to our meetings that are online for business meetings and social interactions, we've brought back the concept of social interaction and service in a safer face-to facing form. To create an exciting new future, we've seized these new opportunities and blended them with our most effective pre-pandemic strategies. It's an encouraging thing to hear that 75 percent of Rotary clubs intend to keep their "business as usual" routines. During the summer the majority of Rotary club members have been seen with their families and friends, working on various initiatives, including beach and river cleanings and litter pick-ups. It was a pleasure to learn that in an earlier Rotary survey that 75% of the participants were looking forward to their normal programs and community-based projects which were previously beneficial for communities all over Great Britain. Our Rotary Support Center team is also proud to continue providing valuable resources for the promotion of these projects, and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps both members and public protected. Compliance and insurance play an important role. It is our belief that Rotary volunteers form lasting relationships through their commitment to each other of volunteering time. It's amazing to observe how our members have come up with innovative ways to solve certain of the most challenging problems. I'm grateful that Rotary offered me the opportunity to join in 2002. Rotary, like so other organizations, has provided me with a strong network of fellow members with the same values as me and who have formed genuine friendships throughout the past twenty years. We should now be sharing Rotary and encourage our families, members and friends to become members of the most amazing world-wide network in which you truly will make a positive impact.
